COVID-19 pandemic has caused a lot of hardships to the people worldwide especially all those who are dependent on the game of cricket for their livelihood. This includes the players, umpires, scorers and many other officials. The Association is closely monitoring the situation and has already applied for permission from the State Government to resume cricketing activities which is still awaited.
It has been brought to our notice that many private cricket tournaments are being organised within the jurisdiction of Mumbai Cricket Association. We would like to inform all the players who are registered with the Mumbai Cricket Association to follow government guidelines and refrain from playing in unauthorised tournaments. MCA shall not be responsible for any action taken by the concerned authorities since permission is not granted for cricketing activities yet.
