MCA News
The draft constitution of Mumbai Cricket Association as per the Lodha Committee recommendations and Honble Supreme Court Judgement dt. 9/8/2018 was first put on the website on 14/08/2018. Thereafter suggestions were received from some members. They were considered & the corrected constitution along with a list of correction was again put on the website 3/09/2018. Once again some more suggestion was received. They have been considered along with the BCCI constitution finalised by BCCI of 21/08/2018. As far as the membership of MCA is considered, suggestion were received for and against retaining Mumbai School Sports Association and Times of India challenge shield committee along the Ordinary member. However considering that they are presently Ordinary members and have participated previously in the electoral process, it would have not been proper to relegate them while drafting the constitution. They have been therefore retained as ordinary members. Similarly in the Area controlled by the Association, “Kharghar” has been included for the same reason since two clubs from that area are presently ordinary members of MCA.

Now the MCA constitution has been accordingly finalised and registered on 12/09/2018 as per the directions given by the Honble Supreme Court in para 39 and 40 of its Judgement dt. 9/08/2018. A Copy of the constitution along with the list of deviations and compliance certificate have been forwarded to BCCI. The same is now being put on the website for the information of all the members.
