Important decisions of the Apex Council
 
Year 2023
 
• On advise of Western Railway, both foot over bridges at Wankhede Stadium to be demolished and rebuilt. Approved the expense of Rs. 17,40,80,209.58/-
 
• Memorial to be created to commemorate 2011 World Cup victory of India at Wankhede Stadium at the historical spot where the winning six hit by M.S.Dhoni landed.
 
• Cricket Improvement Committee constituted under the Chairmanship of Mr. Lalchand Rajput with Mr. Sahil Kukreja and Ms. Preeti Dimri as members
 
• Extended the term of present Ethics Officer cum Ombudsman, Shri Dilip Bhosale, Former Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court for one more and the same to be ratified at the AGM.
 
• Install a statue of Bharat Ratna Shri Sachin Tendulkar at Wankhede Stadium
 
• Mr. Pradeep Kasliwal appointed as Head of Satellite Academies
 
• Kit and Equipment subsidy fund for Affiliated Ordinary Maidan clubs is recommended to be increased from 12 crores to 22 crores. .
 
• Information Technology (I.T.) department to be created and staff to be employed by the Association
 
• Last date of transfer of players for Dr.H.D.Kanga League extended till 20th July 2023.
 
• Renovation of Wankhede Stadium prior to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 matches was approved.
o M/s. Painterior was appointed for renovation work
o M/s. Anukool was appointed for HVAC work
 
• Decided to appoint 2 professional agencies as under:
o To review the process and suggest improvements in the allocation of complimentary passes.
o To audit the compliance in relation to allocation of tickets.
 
• Appointed Mr. Amol Kale as MCA representative to attend BCCI AGM to be held on 25th September 2023
 
• Appointed Balwinder Singh Sandhu as Bowling mentor
 
• Fast bowling talent hunt to be conducted
 
• MCA team to participate in Times Shield tournament.
 
• Recommended to increase the Kit and Equipment subsidy fund for maidan clubs to Rs. 40 crores
 
• Appointed the following Advisory Board for the MCA Cricket Museum & Library:

iii. Prof.R.S.Shetty
iv. Mr. Clayton Murzello
v. Mr. Sandeep Shikre
 
• Participated in tender floated by MSRDC for leasing of 50 acres land at Amne Village in Bhiwandi Taluka.
