Mumbai Cricket Association’s Indoor Cricket Academy at Bandra Kurla Complex
A state-of-the-art indoor cricket facility was inaugurated on 14th December 2007 at Bandra-Kurla Complex at Mumbai Cricket Association Indoor Cricket Academy by MCA President Sharad Pawar.
Then Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh presided over the function which was also attended by Manohar Joshi and Chhagan Bhujbal.
The facility, which can have controlled temperature ranging from 14 degree centigrade to 40 degree centigrade, has seven indoor nets.
Champion batsman Sachin Tendulkar, Dilip Vengsarkar who was then the Vice President of the Association, Committee Members and BCCI Office Bearers were also present at the function.
Son of former Indian fast bowler Mohammad Nissar, who later migrated to Pakistan, Waqar Nissar was also present.
Easily one of the best in the world, the indoor facility on a 13-acre Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), is equipped with seven pitches, bowling machines, gymnasium and other facilities needed for a cricketer to enhance his skill.
The entire complex — ground and indoor nets — has been designed by B.G. Shirke & Co.‘s architect Shashi Prabhu.
