Riding on the success of his untiring work for student welfare, he was elected to the Mumbai University Student Council and was also University representative from G J Advani Law College, Mumbai. Ably balancing his student leadership and academic responsibilities. Working closely with then CM Late Shri. Vilasrao Deshmukh and Shri. Ashok Chavan, Adv. Ashish Shelar helped engineer implementation of development friendly policy in BKC zone, he was also elected to mumbai metro regional planning commission an important body dealing with DP of MMR.

As Vice President of the Rajasthan Sports Club he has promoted young cricketers to play for his club and taken care of their education. He has taken initiative to get young cricketers employed with various corporates in Mumbai. He made effort to clear the MCA kandivali project and also tried to save the levied premium of MCA club of BKC. Actively involved in the framing of the policy for the adoption and care taker of PG & RG in the city by which more grounds will be available for the association & affiliated clubs. Also involved in the policy making for sports in the city. |
